I just began my second student teaching placement. I am in a rural high school with under 200 students. In this placement I am expected to take over two classes so I am going to be teaching another grade 10 geography course and this time I get to teach a math course! Grade 10 essentials! This excites me a lot because math is my baby and I didn't get to teach it last placement.
This week my goal is to get to know my students. I will definitely have my work cut out for me on this one because there are about 35 students in my geography class! 35!!! Hopefully within the next couple weeks I will really get to know the students but for now, knowing their names will be a good start!
Let the teaching (and learning!) begin!
